Snowbabies, Part 2 : Sleigh Ride

The snow stopped and the sun came out just long enough today for us to take the girls on a one horse open sleigh ride. Ava was excited when she saw the "neigh-neighs" and we had quite a multicultural ride. Our Brazilian driver sang Jingle Bells for us in Portueguese and we shared the ride with a Polish family whose daughter was also named Ava. Midway through the ride the driver stopped to recite Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost in honor of the recently deceased proprietor of the family sleigh ride business. At the end we gave Ava a hay cube treat to feed the horse but she was timid and seemed to possibly think this was a cracker for her consumption that she didn't want to share with the horse, "Major".
