Snowbabies, Part 1

We've returned to South Lake Tahoe this winter to relax and let Ava and Anja play in the snow. Last year we were just starting to tell family about the upcoming addition to our family, Anja, and Ava was just learning to crawl and pull herself up. The change of environment and two weeks of increased interaction with her parents seemed to really help with Ava's development. Our first few days here have been marked by heavy snowfall and high winds so we stayed pretty close to the cabin, but are looking forward to sleighrides and more sledding with Ava and Anja as the weather improves. So far, when we ask Ava where we are she says "Hawaii" as she seems to associate this with anywhere that is not home, but we're working on her pronunciation of "Tahoe".
